Voice Class w/ Karina Parker

Voice Class – Do you love to sing? Then this class is for you! This class covers all of the basics of singing technique, including knowing how to sing healthily, learning how to use your full range, and an introduction to reading music, all while exploring different musical genres. This fun and engaging class will provide each students with technique that will strengthen their individual voice and build confidence.

Karina (soprano) is a Brooklyn-based musician, multi-disciplinary performing artist, director, and educator. Karina is the co-founder and co-director of the new, grassroots opera company, Killer Queen Opera, and is a founding member of the New York-based vocal ensemble Musica Vera. Karina received her Bachelors of Fine Arts and Music Education Certification for instrumental and vocal instruction from Carnegie Mellon University School of Music. She now performs, directs, and teaches in New York City’s five boroughs. Karina is currently a resident Teaching Artist at the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning. When not teaching or performing, Karina likes to paint, read, and travel!
