Between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30, historian and educator Lena Yasutake
demonstrates the Regency manner of making tea, while discussing the role of tea, etiquette, and gossip in Austen’s novels and letters. Participants can see, hear, taste, and touch throughout the presentation.
Period costumes of the early 1800s (from Jane’s or your own culture) are admired, though by no means required!
