In recent years, Guitarist Michel “Roro” Ligondé, Taїna Cerat Ligondé, Chico Boyer and Sergo Decius have been invited as individual artists or as a group, in several occasions to Haitian cultural events in New York. They have all collaborated with one another or together as a musical group with The Brooklyn Art Council, City Lore and The Center for Traditional Music and Dance. They are known as one of the best group of musicians when it comes to representing the music of Haiti or the Caribbean, whether it is by way of playing Konpa, Zouk, vodou jazz or standard jazz or a combination of all genres. Like Louis Armstrong, the musicians of JENJANM believe inthat “There are only two kinds of music: good and bad” and they have chosen to play Good Music.
