Hands On History: Construction at the Manor!

March 18, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Are you interested in construction work? March is Women’s History Month! Several women worked at King Manor in the 19th century. Their jobs did not just include cooking and cleaning as was often the case with female workers in this time period, but also taking apart furniture, cleaning it, then reassembling it. To celebrate their craftsmanship and inspire young people of all genders to enter construction vocations, Tools & Tiaras and Rojas AP will be collaborating with us in a construction-style activity! Kids and teens can come and brainstorm ideas and bring these ideas to life. You can even construct King Manor!
