Gun Violence Awareness

Council Member Nantasha Williams and the Queens Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. are pleased to present an event that is focused on using art to educate young people about the hazards of gun violence. “Justice Is Done” is a film that illustrates how serious, even deadly, the decision of turning to guns as a problem solver can be. In “Getting Shot, The Real Deal” a trauma nurse from Harlem Hospital’s emergency room lays it on the line about getting shot. In “Shoes on the Other Foot”, two young boys get the shock of their lives after an eventful evening of robbery and scheming.
