Since 1982, the Percent for Art program of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) has commissioned hundreds of site-specific projects in a variety of media — by artists whose sensibilities reflect the diversity of New York City.
In conjunction with NYC Parks and the New York City Department of Design and Construction, DCLA will be administering a selection process for an artist or artist team to create permanent public artwork as part of the upcoming new Roy Wilkins Recreation Center in Queens.
