The Southeast Queens Music Education Taskforce Summit: Context, Findings and Solutions

In the Fall of 2021, A Better Jamaica pulled together seven distinguished public school music educators, and three graduate school students from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service to create the Southeast Queens Music Education Taskforce (SEQMET).
It is time to share the findings of the taskforce, and to discuss how we might address the problem of the anemic music education offering in southeast Queens middle schools.

When: Saturday, May 7th – 10:00 am to Noon (Pre-Show at 9:30 am)
Where: Online via Zoom
Why: Because we need to discuss the state of public middle school music education in southeast Queens and what we can do about it.
