The students, staff, and families of I.S. 59Q are excited to invite one and all to The Joy of Giving Pep Rally & Sanjay Samuel Classic Memorial Basketball Game.
This event is more than a school celebration—it is a community milestone that reflects the resilience, unity, and shared purpose of Springfield Gardens, District 29, and the surrounding Queens neighborhoods.
Through student performances, staff engagement, immersive technology experiences, and the memorial basketball game, they aim to celebrate gratitude, joy, and collective achievement while honoring the legacy of their beloved student-athlete and 2025 I.S. 59Q graduate, Sanjay Samuel, who was taken away from us much too soon by gun violence in front of a Dunkin Donuts.
