March Manga Madness: Main Character Energy

Main Character Energy is a hands-on textile and wearable art workshop where teens explore character design through the lens of manga and anime. March 16: CREATE YOUR MAIN CHARACTER Teens design an original manga-inspired character or reimagine themselves as a main character using fabric collage techniques. Through color, texture, and symbolism, participants explore character traits, powers, and personality while creating a bold visual portrait. March 18: WEAR YOUR CHARACTER In this workshop, teens create a wearable bandana using Mod Podge photo transfer techniques on fabric. Participants select an image of a favorite manga character, symbol, or motif, print it, and transfer it onto fabric to create a bold visual centerpiece. Teens then design around the transferred image using fabric accents, color blocking, and optional hand-stitching to complete a finished bandana they can wear or display.
