Too many people, especially our seniors, are being targeted by scams that look real and feel urgent.
That’s why I’m proud to support this Google Digital Skills Workshop on Understanding Fraud and Scams alongside my colleagues in government Senator James Sanders Jr., Assemblymembers Alicia Hyndman, Clyde Vanel, Larinda Hooks and Councilmembers Selvena Brooks-Powers and Dr. Nantasha Williams happening at the Alpha Phi Alpha Senior Center in Cambria Heights.
This session will walk participants through how to spot common scams, protect personal and financial information and understand how new tools like AI and deepfakes are being used to trick people.
