Black History Month: Sunday Concerts @ Central Presents The Sharif Kales Sextet

The Shariff Kales Sextet Ensemble brings you the last 100 years of Jazz — blues, swing, bebop, hard bop, soul jazz, funk and neo-soul. This New York based ensemble is led by Queens native and trumpeter Sharif Kales who has worked with the great Charli Persip, The Valery Ponomarev/Art Blakey Big Band, The Harlem Renaissance Big Band, and with artists such as Charles Tolliver, Buster Williams, Mulgrew Miller, Joe Chambers, Wallace Roney and the legendary bassist John Benitz.
